Each lesson pack (zip file) contains a lesson plan with instructions for running the session and learning outcomes, and related resources Some lesson plans also include links to resources on the web such as videos.

Key Stages 3 and 4 description

The Sessions for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 are designed to educate students that abusive behaviour in relationships in never acceptable. The sessions incorporate the fact that young people like first-hand experiences and real life scenarios as part of their learning. Students will identify different types of abuse through activities and discussion with the facilitator. Resources provide ways to challenge the attitudes of teenagers to violence and abuse in relationships:

  • Recognise when a relationship is unhealthy or abusive (including the unacceptability of both emotional and physical abuse or violence and rape) and strategies to manage this or access support for self or others at risk.
  • Develop an awareness of exploitation, bullying and harassment in relationships (including the unique challenges posed by online bullying and the unacceptability of physical, emotional, sexual abuse in all types of teenage relationships, including sexting) and how to respond to it.
  • Learn about the wider impact of domestic abuse
